Newbies & Level 1 • Saturdays at 12:30-1:45pm
Welcome to the playful, accessible, butt-kicking world of aerial fabric! This class is the place to come if you’re brand new to aerial arts, if it’s been a while and you’re ready to get back into shape, or if you’re a continuing student. The hammock supports at your hips or shoulders while you gain strength, preparing to support your own weight in your hands for longer and longer periods of time.
Aerial Hammock and Creative Movement • Level 1 & 2
Thursdays 7:30pm- 8:45pm
Do you ever get frustrated learning trick after trick on the fabric and don’t know how to let it flow together? Have you ever wanted to feel like you’re dancing in the air and not just repeating what you’ve already learned in class? Turn your aerial training into a truly creative and playful practice! In this class, you’ll learn to intuitively sequence moves, let your creativity flow, find unique movement that fits your body, your mood, and your style, and breathe life into your aerial skillset.
Integrating the elements of act-creation, contemporary and improv dance, creative movement, and aerial silks technique, this workshop will offer you a new set of tools to use for finding creative freedom and building beautiful and expressive choreography. Class designed by Jazmine Russell.
Pre-requisite: Must be able to invert from the ground. No dance experience required. Just an openness to creativity and a love for aerial art.
